Hermenegildo L. Torres TO THE FOOLS OF THIS WORLD

PUP was founded with the noble goal of contributing to create a healthy atmosphere in our daily life, inviting its members to accept their folly.

Since life and death are the two inescapable equalizers, PUP attempts to attain one more: that which would allow us to accept humbly the state of our ignorance, a condition that, more than any other cause or doctrine, will draw us closer as humans.

I invite you to join the PUP and accept your own foolishness, since, in spite of how much knowledge we might presume to have, we will be placing ourselves in the comfortable position of accepting our lack of wisdom and knowledge, in step with the maxim of the great Greek philosopher Socrates, who more than two thousand years ago said: "I know nothing except the fact of my ignorance."

If we are going to be fools, we must do it well and with a full understanding of the objective, so others do not make us more of a fool than we already are.
